Executive Bios
Graeme Robinson
CEO and President
Graeme Robinson joined Sphere in 1995 to drive the development of Sphericall's unique distributed software architecture. Through his leadership, and wealth of telecommunications knowledge and experience, Mr. Robinson now serves as President of NEC's Sphericall Communications Organization. Prior to Sphere, Mr. Robinson led engineering teams at Teradyne Telecommunications, where he was responsible for the development of the leading central office telecommunications test system in use today. Previously, he worked at Ferranti Computer Systems Limited in England as a development engineer. Mr. Robinson graduated from Cambridge University, England, with an MA in engineering.
David Thome
Chief Financial Officer
David Thome joined Sphere as Chief Financial Officer in 2005 with 20 years of experience in financial services, consulting and technology. Prior to Sphere, Mr. Thome served as Chief Financial Officer of The Clearing Corporation and held senior financial positions at the Chicago Stock Exchange and the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Mr. Thome holds a CPA, and began his career on the audit staff of Deloitte & Touche in Chicago. Mr. Thome graduated from Lawrence University with high honors and holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago.
Todd Landry
Senior Vice President
Todd Landry joined Sphere in 2003 to lead product management, marketing and business development. Prior to Sphere, Mr. Landry launched carrier-class IP Telephony SoftSwitch and Media Gateway solutions as Vice President of Product Management at CommWorks Corporation (a subsidiary of 3Com Corporation). At CommWorks, Mr. Landry also established several OEMs and conducted strategic acquisitions. Prior to 3Com, he led the development and launch of the Total Control line of Internet access and wireless CDMA mobile data products as Vice President of Product Management at U.S. Robotics. Mr. Landry holds two U.S. patents related to IP telephony and mobile wireless data systems. Mr. Landry graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology and Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, and has participated in several executive education initiatives including Northwestern University 's Kellogg Graduate School and University of Michigan's School of Business Administration.
Alan Weir
Chief Technology Officer
Alan Weir joined Sphere in 1994 with over 20 years of hardware and software design experience and now serves as the Chief Technology Officer. He is a key contributor to Sphere's IP PBX technology. Prior to Sphere, Mr. Weir created advanced fiber optics test systems at Teradyne Telecommunications. Previously, as System Architect at Computerized Medical Systems (formally EMI Medical Ltd.), Mr. Weir led the development of computed axial tomography scanning systems. He began his career with Philips Semiconductor. Mr. Weir has been awarded several patents for his work, and graduated from Manchester Polytechnic in the United Kingdom.
John Blasko
Vice President, Engineering
John Blasko joined Sphere in 2000 with extensive experience in the development of mission-critical systems. Prior to Sphere, Mr. Blasko managed software development at Aksys Ltd., a leading medical electronic equipment manufacturer. Previously, he developed electronics and software for medical, industrial, and security applications at Bio-Imaging Research Inc. He began his career at McDonnell Douglas Astronautics (now Boeing) in software development for the Tomahawk Cruise Missile program. Mr. Blasko graduated from Purdue University with a BS degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
